Miracle Monocle is a national award winning online literary journal with the University of Louisville that receives 500 submissions a semester.
I have been on the editing team for two issues of Miracle Monocle, once as a student editor (Issue 17) then as an intern editor (Issue 20). For both issues, I worked on the prose team with four/five others to select fiction and creative nonfiction submissions. I edited, proofread, and coded two pieces for publication in each issue.
Additionally, I was given the opportunity to work on independent projects for both issues. For Issue 17, I read and reviewed a poetry collection by a former contributor. For Issue 20, I hosted a digital roundtable.
